Aydin Displays Receives AS9100B Certification

ATLANTA-- (BUSINESS WIRE)—May 11, 2009— Video Display Corporation (NASDAQ:VIDE) announces that its Aydin Displays Inc. subsidiary has achieved AS9100B certification. Aydin Displays received the stringent AS9100B certification for its Quality Management System (QMS).   AS9100B certification, which verifies that the company's processes related to design and manufacture of its products have met or exceeded the required standard, is increasingly required by aerospace suppliers’ world-wide.

Along with this certification, Aydin Displays will now be included in the OASIS database.  The OASIS database is an international database used by the aerospace industry for selecting certified suppliers. According to John Taylor, Quality Control Manager for Aydin Displays, “This certification represents a significant milestone for Aydin and its commitment to meet its customer’s growing needs. Aerospace and avionics applications require high levels of reliability while typically operating in a harsh environment.  Being certified to the AS9100B and ISO 9000 International Standards for quality gives assurances to our Aerospace and Defense customers that Aydin Displays is committed to providing the highest quality products possible. For many aerospace companies, this certification is a prerequisite for conducting business.”
